Understanding & Editing Footer Settings

There are many settings you can edit. Below we'll describe what each option is and how to edit it.

Greater Green Gives you the option to have a light or dark footer. There is no right or wrong when it comes to what color theme to use. Which one you choose is really up to you and relies on what works best for your brand. By default, we set the footer color theme to 'Dark'

How are the footer theme colors selected and why can't I add any color I want?

We're glad you asked. The colors Greater Green uses for the footer theme are based on a set of carefully selected color scales that are installed to your site during onboarding. We restrict these colors for a few very good reasons.

  1. Your site is 'Dark Mode Capable' which means you can allow your users to toggle between light and dark colorscapes. This has become wildly popular as technology trends related to user behaviors evolve.
  2. Contrast ratios are very important. Greater Green is designed to be WCAG AA compliant. This helps users with vision impairments comfortably view the content on your site. AA compliance is a government standard that is generally accepted as being accomodating to most users.
