Verification Page (Age Gate)
The verification page is a special page that a user will encounter the first time they visit your site. It serves a few purposes that are essential to not only shopping for cannabis online in general, but also to send the user to the right store or procurment method that works for them.
The verification page serves 3 essential purposes.
- Ensure the shopper is of legal age to purchase
- Identify what kind of shopper they are, Medical or Recreational
- Allow the shopper to select which store they'd like to shop
- Allow the shopper to select how they'd like to procure their product; via Store Pickup or Delivery
This information is crucial because it allows the site to show products specific for each set of options. Not all products may be available for delivery. Medical customers may see different prices than Recreational customers.
It also allows us to land customers on a homepage that is catered to their choices. For example, you may have different content and promotions for one location than another. When we enforce a selection upfront, we can ensure the customer sees all the proper content, prices, and promotions for their parameters.
